VibMetric is a field screening tool that uses your smartphone's accelerometer to measure vibration on rotating equipment. This policy explains exactly what data we handle — and what we don't.

Data We Collect
Stored locally on your device only
- Vibration measurement results (RMS velocity, frequency, severity rating)
- Optional equipment identifiers you enter
- Optional customer and site names you enter
- Optional notes you add to measurements
- Optional photos you attach
- Optional voice notes you record
- Your measurement preferences (duration, thresholds)
Sensor data — processed in real-time only
- Accelerometer readings during measurement
- This data is processed on-device and is never stored or transmitted
We do NOT collect
- Personal identification information
- Location data
- Email addresses or account information
- Any data from other apps on your device
Section 02
Local Storage & Encryption
All measurement data is stored locally on your device only, encrypted using AES-256. Attached photos and voice notes are likewise encrypted on-device. Your data is:
- Never transmitted to our servers (the app has no backend)
- Never shared with third parties without your action
- Kept only on your device until you delete it
Section 03
Advertising (Free Tier)
The free version of VibMetric displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following to serve relevant ads:
- Device advertising ID
- IP address (used to infer general location for ad targeting)
- App usage information and interaction with ads
GDPR / EEA users: If you are in the European Economic Area, a consent form will appear before any ads are shown. Ads are only personalised if you grant consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings.
For details on how Google handles advertising data, see Google's Privacy Policy. Pro subscribers do not see ads and are not subject to AdMob data collection.

Data Sharing
You control when data leaves your device:
- Export to CSV: Creates a local file you can share via any app you choose
- Generate PDF Report: Creates a local report you can share
Data is only shared when you initiate export or share through your device's system share sheet. We never share your measurement data with third parties.

Data Deletion
You have full control over your data at any time:
- Individual measurements: Swipe to delete in the History screen
- All history: Use "Clear All History" in Settings
- Complete removal: Uninstall the app — all local data is removed with it
To request deletion of any data associated with your use of the app, email us at info@nxgworks.com with the subject line "Delete My VibMetric Data". We will respond within 30 days.
Section 07
Children's Privacy
VibMetric is a professional tool intended for maintenance technicians and engineers. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted in the app update release notes. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
